The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was slightly lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) added 0.5%.

Deutsche Bank ( DB ) shares retreated 0.6% after the company said it is consolidating the separate services for wealthy and high-net-worth clients into the wealth management unit in Germany.
