09:04 AM EDT, 07/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were declining pre-bell Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 0.3% recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 1.1% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 0.7%.

Wells Fargo ( WFC ) shares were down by nearly 4% after the company said it expects 2025 net interest income to be "roughly in line with 2024," compared with its previous forecast of a 1% to 3% year-over-year increase.
