03:24 PM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were decreasing in late Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index shedding 1% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 0.8%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was down 0.5% and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was sliding 1.5%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 0.7% to $118,108, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 2.8 basis points to 4.41%.

In economic news, the Dallas Fed's monthly manufacturing index rebounded to a reading of 0.9 in July from minus 12.7 in June, compared with expectations for a smaller increase to a reading of minus 9.5 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

In corporate news, TPG (TPG) is in advanced talks to buy a "significant" stake in UK digital banking services platform Tide, Sky News reported Monday. TPG shares were fractionally higher.
