03:41 PM EDT, 08/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were mixed in late Tuesday afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index up 0.1% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) shedding 0.2%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index climbed 1.4%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) added 0.3%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropped 1.3% to $113,695, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was little changed at 4.207%.
In economic news, the Institute for Supply Management's US Services Index fell to a reading of 50.1 in July from 50.8 in June, below expectations for an increase to 51.5 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
President Donald Trump said in a CNBC interview that he will unveil tariffs on semiconductors and pharmaceuticals "within the next week or so" and that import taxes on drugs may reach 250%.
In corporate news, Visa (V) is nearing a deal to relocate its European headquarters to London's Canary Wharf, the Financial Times reported. Visa is in talks to take over about 170,000 square feet of space at One Canada Square being vacated by Moody's, the report said. Visa shares fell 1.2%.
