The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 2%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was up 0.9%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was rising 1.1% to $111,211, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries dropped 9 basis points to 4.09%.
In economic news, the August employment report showed nonfarm payrolls rose by 22,000, significantly below the 75,000 job increase expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
