The Philadelphia Housing Index fell 0.5%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) gained 1.2%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) climbed 3.7% to $69,444, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was little changed at 4.09%.
In economic news, nonfarm payrolls rose by 275,000 last month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. The consensus was for a 200,000 gain in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
In corporate news, UBS (UBS) shares gained past 3% after Morgan Stanley upgraded the company to overweight from equalweight.
