Sector Update: Financial Stocks Advance Pre-Bell Monday

09:29 AM EDT, 03/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing pre-bell Monday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLF ) was 0.1% higher recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was up 0.9% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 1% lower.

AlTi Global ( ALTI ) was down more than 1% after it reported a Q4 net loss of $0.87 per diluted share on revenue of $91.7 million.

Shift4 Payments' ( FOUR ) Chief Executive Jared Isaacman said that potential acquirers have failed to "sufficiently value" the company with their bids, Bloomberg reported, citing an internal memo. Shift4 Payments ( FOUR ) was over 8% lower in recent premarket activity.

KKR (KKR) is considering the potential sale of its majority stake in EuroKids International for about $1 billion, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. KKR was up more than 1% pre-bell.
