The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was 0.8% higher and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was down 0.6%.

Carlyle Group ( CG ) stock was up nearly 5% after the company posted higher Q2 after-tax distributable earnings and total revenue.

Itau Unibanco ( ITUB ) shares were up more than 2% after the company reported higher Q2 net income and operating revenue.

TPG (TPG) stock was more nearly 5% higher after the company reported a narrowed Q2 net loss as revenue increased during the period. TPG also raised its quarterly dividend.
