Sector Update: Financial Stocks Decline Pre-Bell Wednesday

09:23 AM EDT, 07/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were declining pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) 0.1% lower.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 0.2% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.1% higher.

S&P Global ( SPGI ) stock was up more than 2% after the company said it has completed the spinoff of its Mobility division into an independent publicly traded company, Mobility Global.

FactSet Research Systems ( FDS ) shares were down more than 4% even after the company reported higher fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue.

Klarna Group ( KLAR ) shares were up more than 10% after the company said a court ruled in favor of its PriceRunner unit, awarding it $1.97 billion in damages in an antitrust lawsuit against Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ).
