Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Pre-Bell Monday

09:20 AM EDT, 07/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Monday, with The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 0.2%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was 0.5% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was up 0.7%.

Deutsche Bank ( DB ) shares were 0.9% lower after the company said it is consolidating the separate services for wealthy and high-net-worth clients into the wealth management unit in Germany.

BlackRock ( BLK ) said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ElmTree Funds, a net-lease real estate investment firm with $7.3 billion in total assets under management. BlackRock ( BLK ) shares were down 0.2% premarket.

Blackstone (BX) is looking for ways to enter the booming private credit-secondaries market, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter. Shares of Blackstone were 0.5% lower pre-bell.
