09:16 AM EDT, 09/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Tuesday, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) declining by 0.7%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was 2.2% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was up 2%.

Blackstone (BX) plans a debt sale of as much as 500 million British pounds ($668.5 million) tied to UK warehouses, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Blackstone shares were down 1.6% premarket.

Apollo Global Management ( APO ) intends to launch a $5 billion investment fund focused on sports, the Financial Times reported, people familiar with the matter. Apollo Global Management ( APO ) shares were 0.6% lower pre-bell.

Main Street Capital ( MAIN ) shares were down 0.5% after he company said it completed a portfolio investment reaching $45 million to facilitate the minority recapitalization of an undisclosed specialty aircraft distributor.
