09:22 AM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower premarket Monday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLF ) slightly declined recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was down 0.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 0.5% higher.

KKR (KKR) investment vehicle Phoenix Investments completed an initial investment of 2.52 billion Philippine pesos ($44.3 million) into the education arm of Phinma Corp, the Filipino conglomerate said in a regulatory filing. KKR shares were up 0.5% pre-bell.

Barnes Group ( B ) said it has entered a definitive agreement to be acquired by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management ( APO ) in an all-cash transaction valuing the company at about $3.6 billion. Apollo Global Management ( APO ) shares were 0.8% higher premarket.
