Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Tuesday

09:15 AM EDT, 06/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower premarket Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLF ) recently declining by 0.5%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was down 1.8% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 1.7% higher.

Deutsche Bank ( DB ) and Bitpanda said they expanded their partnership, allowing the crypto broker's users in Germany to use the bank's real-time payment solutions for incoming and outgoing transactions. Deutsche Bank ( DB ) was over 1% lower pre-bell.

Pinnacle West Capital ( PNW ) was down 0.6% after saying it has upsized its current offering of 4.75% convertible senior notes due 2027 to $475 million from $450 million previously.

CME Group ( CME ) said it set a new average daily volume record of 26 million contracts for May, up 4% from a year earlier. CME Group ( CME ) was 0.1% lower pre-bell.
