The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was down 0.7% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 0.9% higher.
HSBC Holdings ( HSBC ) shares rose past 4% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and revenue.
PayPal ( PYPL ) shares were down more than 1% after the company reported Q3 net revenue of $7.85 billion, up from $7.42 billion a year earlier but still below the $7.89 billion forecast from analysts surveyed by Capital IQ.
SoFi Technologies ( SOFI ) shares were down over 1% even after the company reported it swung to a Q3 profit as total net revenue increased during the period. The company also raised its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance.
