03:48 PM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were mixed in late Thursday afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index down 0.2% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 0.2%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index rose 0.5%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) increased 0.3%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) added 0.5% to $87,379, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 1.9 basis points to 4.376%.
In economic news, US gross domestic product growth was revised up to 2.4% for Q4 from a 2.3% increase in the previous estimate, compared with expectations for no revision in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
In corporate news, Morgan Stanley ( MS ) is working with Goldman Sachs ( GS ) to explore selling a majority stake in German renewable project developer PNE, Reuters reported. Morgan Stanley ( MS ) shares dropped 2.6%, and Goldman shed 2.3%.
Deutsche Bank ( DB ) said Thursday it appointed Raja Akram as its next chief financial officer. Its shares were down 0.4%.
Vanguard recently held talks with Carlyle (CG) and Blackstone (BX), among others, to explore potential partnerships that would market private assets to individual investors, Bloomberg reported. Carlyle shares were shedding 1.9% and Blackstone was down 1.3%.
Robinhood (HOOD) plans to introduce checking and savings accounts for its gold members this year, offering a savings rate of about 4% annually, Bloomberg reported, citing an interview with Deepak Rao, vice president and general manager of the company. Robinhood shares were decreasing 0.8%.
