The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 0.7%.

In corporate news, Cutera ( CUTR ) shares plunged almost 30%, a day after the company said its Q4 loss widened to $2.27 per diluted share from $0.40 a year earlier. Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected a loss of $1.11.
