03:42 PM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were retreating late Wednesday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index decreasing 0.8% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) down 0.9%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 1.3%.

In corporate news, Innovative Eyewear ( LUCY ) shares soared 121% after it said Wednesday it launched its rimless Eddie Bauer Smart Eyewear collection, which includes voice access to OpenAI's ChatGPT.
