03:42 PM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks fell late Thursday afternoon with the NYSE Health Care Index and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) both easing 0.1%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 0.4%.

In corporate news, American Well ( AMWL ) shares dropped 4.5% after the company said co-founder Roy Schoenberg is transitioning from his role as president and co-chief executive officer to be executive vice chairman of the board.
