03:33 PM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were softer late Friday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index down 0.3% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) edging down 0.1%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 0.7%.

In corporate news, Kyverna Therapeutics ( KYTX ) shares plunged 35% after the company released a data update on its lead chimeric antigen receptor, or CAR, T-cell therapy candidate, dubbed KYV-101.
