01:33 PM EDT, 07/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were higher Thursday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) each rising 0.2%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) climbed 2%.

In corporate news, Molina Healthcare ( MOH ) shares jumped past 14%, a day after the company reported a stronger-than-expected increase in Q2 adjusted earnings and sales and reiterated its full-year 2024 income outlook.
