03:41 PM EDT, 09/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were lower late Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index shedding 0.3% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) down 0.2%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) dropped 1.6%.

In corporate news, Skye Bioscience ( SKYE ) shares jumped nearly 10% after the company said it was encouraged to see that Novo Nordisk's (NVO) monlunabant met its primary endpoint during a phase 2a trial.
