08:41 AM EDT, 09/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were steady to higher premarket Wednesday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was marginally up and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) gained 0.4%.

Emergent Biosolutions ( EBS ) shares were up 9.2% in Wednesday's premarket session after saying it received approximately $400 million in orders for its smallpox and mpox vaccine products.
