08:39 AM EST, 12/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were steady premarket Tuesday, with The Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) marginally higher and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) inactive.

Cardiff Oncology ( CRDF ) shares were up 48% pre-bell after the company said that preliminary results from a mid-stage study of its cancer treatment candidate onvansertib showed an overall 57% objective response rate in patients with a specific metastatic colorectal cancer. The company also said its oversubscribed public offering of nearly 15.4 million common shares has been priced at $2.60 apiece.
