03:30 PM EST, 01/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks declined late Tuesday afternoon with the NYSE Health Care Index falling 1.4% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) dropping 1.2%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) shed 1.9%.

In corporate news, Johnson & Johnson's ( JNJ ) shares were down 0.1% after S&P Global Ratings said it placed nearly all of the company's ratings on creditwatch with negative implications following its $14.6 billion deal to buy Intra-Cellular Therapies (ITCI).
