The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) increased 0.5%.

In corporate news, Pfizer ( PFE ) activist investor Starboard Value didn't nominate any directors to the drugmaker's board before the annual meeting in April, Bloomberg reported. Pfizer ( PFE ) shares rose 2.9%.
