08:52 AM EDT, 05/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were flat to higher premarket Friday with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) inactive and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) recently up 0.6%.

BioMarin Pharmaceutical ( BMRN ) said it has agreed to acquire Inozyme Pharma ( INZY ) at $4 per share in cash for a total price of $270 million. Inozyme Pharma ( INZY ) shares surged past 178% pre-bell.
