08:56 AM EDT, 06/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were mixed premarket Wednesday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was down 0.3% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was 0.4% higher recently.

Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) is under investigation by Spain's ministry of health over its website communications on its weight-loss drug. The government body said the communications on the website "could be considered as covert advertising of prescription drugs, which is prohibited by current legislation," according to a translation of a June 19 statement. Shares of Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) were more than 2% lower pre-bell.
