The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) increased 0.4%.

In corporate news, Tourmaline Bio's ( TRML ) shares surged 58% after the company agreed to be acquired by Novartis ( NVS ) for $48 a share in cash, representing an equity value of $1.4 billion. Novartis ( NVS ) shares fell 0.4%.
