The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was down 0.4%.

In corporate news, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals ( REGN ) shares fell 2.3% after the company said its Q3 financial results would take a charge of about $83 million on a pre-tax basis, which is expected to negatively impact its net income by $0.68 per diluted share.
