The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) added 0.5%.

In corporate news, Pfizer ( PFE ) said it agreed to buy Metsera ( MTSR ) for $47.50 per share in cash, valuing the company at about $4.9 billion. Pfizer ( PFE ) shares rose 1.1%, and Metsera ( MTSR ) surged 62%.
