The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) eased 0.2%.
In corporate news, Eli Lilly ( LLY ) shares rose 2.8% after the company said it will increase the UK price of its weight-loss and type 2 diabetes drug Mounjaro starting in September for alignment with other developed countries.
Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) shares surged 83% after the company said it received approval from the New York State Department of Health to start providing its PreClara Ratio biomarker test for the assessment of preeclampsia risk.
Philips (PHG) shares were down 0.6% after it said Thursday it plans to invest over $150 million in US manufacturing and research and development.
