The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) climbed 1.1%.

In corporate news, AbbVie ( ABBV ) shares rose 0.7% after it said Monday that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved an updated Rinvoq indication for adults with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

Arcus Biosciences ( RCUS ) shares jumped 14% after the company said a phase 2 trial on various combinations of domvanalimab plus zimberelimab with chemotherapy achieved a 26.7-month median overall survival in people with advanced stomach and esophageal cancer, including tumors not removable by surgery, with a 50% two-year survival rate.

Actinium Pharmaceuticals ( ATNM ) shares gained 4% after the company said preclinical data showed its ATNM-400 radiotherapy candidate showed potent anti-tumor activity in EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer models.

Apyx Medical ( APYX ) shares rose 3.4% said Monday it submitted a new premarket notification to the US Food and Drug Administration for a label expansion of its Ayon Body Contouring System to include power liposuction.
