Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Advance Pre-Bell Friday

09:11 AM EDT, 10/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were advancing pre-bell Friday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLV ) advanced by 0.3% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF ( IBB ) was up 0.1% recently.

Centene ( CNC ) shares rose past 15% after the company reported an increase in Q3 revenue and raised its revenue outlook for the full year.

HCA Healthcare ( HCA ) shares fell by almost 8% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and revenue that still missed estimates from analysts polled by Capital IQ.

Sanofi ( SNY ) shares were up over 3% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and net sales compared with a year earlier.
