09:19 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were advancing premarket Tuesday, with the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLV ) and iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) up 0.1%.

Scholar Rock Holding ( SRRK ) shares were down more than 11% after the company said the US Food and Drug Administration has issued a complete response letter for the marketing application of its spinal muscular atrophy drug, apitegromab, that cited issues at a third-party manufacturing site run by Catalent Indiana.

Kenvue ( KVUE ) shares were up nearly 7% premarket, swinging from a decline of more than 7% from Monday's session after US President Donald Trump urged pregnant women to avoid taking acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Kenvue's ( KVUE ) Tylenol drug, saying it can be associated with a "very increased" risk of autism. reiterated there is no scientific link between acetaminophen and autism.

atai Life Sciences ( ATAI ) stock was up more than 6% after the company said it and Beckley Psytech reported positive phase 2a open-label results for a two-dose induction of intranasal BPL-003 in treatment-resistant depression, with quick and sustained benefit lasting up to three months.
