Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Decline Premarket Wednesday

09:19 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were declining premarket Wednesday with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) slightly lower and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLV ) down 1.4% recently.

Eli Lilly ( LLY ) shares fell by over 10% after the company reported Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue that missed analysts' expectations. The company also lowered its full-year 2024 adjusted earnings per share guidance.

GSK (GSK) shares were down over 4% after the company reported lower Q3 core earnings and turnover.

LivaNova ( LIVN ) shares were up over 9% after the company reported higher Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue. The company also raised its full-year guidance for adjusted earnings per share and revenue growth.
