The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 0.7%.
In corporate news, Kyverna Therapeutics ( KYTX ) shares plunged almost 35% after the company released a data update on its lead T-cell therapy candidate KYV-101.
Ocular Therapeutix ( OCUL ) shares jumped 13% after the firm reported its clinical development progress at its investor day.
Patterson (PDCO) faces negative investor sentiment ahead of its fiscal Q4 earnings report due to the recent resignation of the president of dental and persistently weak dental equipment demand, UBS said in an earnings preview. UBS cut its price target on the stock to $25 from $28 and reiterated its neutral rating. Patterson shares were shedding 0.5%.
