The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 2.1%.
In corporate news, Doximity ( DOCS ) shares soared 35% after analysts raised their price targets on the company's stock following improved fiscal Q3 results Thursday that beat analyst expectations.
Sionna Therapeutics (SION) said late Thursday that it priced an IPO of about 10.6 million shares at $18 per share for expected gross proceeds of $191 million. Its shares gained 37% in recent trading.
Eli Lilly ( LLY ) said Friday that data from its open-label extension study showed bowel disease drug Omvoh provided long-term clinical remission and endoscopic response to people with Crohn's disease as well as for those with prior biologic failure. Its shares rose 0.8%.
Illumina ( ILMN ) shares fell past 9% after the company posted overnight lower Q4 revenue.
