In corporate news, AC Immune ( ACIU ) shares surged nearly 20% after the company said a phase 2 trial of its potential early Parkinson's disease treatment yielded "positive" interim safety and immunogenicity results.

Immutep ( IMMP ) shares jumped 10%. The company reported positive data from a phase 1 trial assessing eftilagimod alpha plus Keytruda and chemotherapy to treat metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer.
