In corporate news, CVS Health ( CVS ) decided not to include Gilead Sciences' ( GILD ) new HIV prevention drug Yeztugo in its commercial or Affordable Care Act plans for now, Reuters reported. CVS shares rose 1.2% and Gilead shed 2.4%.
ModivCare ( MODV ) shares sank 69% after the company said late Wednesday it filed for Chapter 11 protection in a Texas court.
Novo Nordisk's ( NVO ) weight-loss drug Wegovy is seeing increased demand in the UK as rival Eli Lilly ( LLY ) plans a significant price hike for its competing treatment, Mounjaro, Bloomberg reported. Novo shares rose 2%, and Eli Lilly ( LLY ) was up 0.6%.
