Beam Therapeutics ( BEAM ) shares were advancing by more than 1% after the company said the US Food and Drug Administration has granted orphan drug designation to BEAM-101, an investigational cell therapy for sickle cell disease.
Amylyx Pharmaceuticals ( AMLX ) shares were up more than 5% after the company said its potential amyotrophic lateral sclerosis treatment AMX0114 has received the US Food and Drug Administration's fast-track designation.
Vera Therapeutics ( VERA ) shares were more than 1% higher after the company said it signed a new credit facility with Oxford Finance worth up to $500 million, replacing its previous $50 million agreement.
