The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) climbed 1.7%.
In corporate news, Eli Lilly ( LLY ) is being sued by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for allegedly bribing medical providers to prescribe its products, including weight loss and diabetes medications Mounjaro and Zepbound, the attorney general's office said Tuesday. Eli Lilly ( LLY ) shares were fractionally higher.
Insmed ( INSM ) shares jumped past 7% after it said Tuesday the US Food and Drug Administration has approved Brinsupri to treat non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis in adults and children 12 years and above.
