Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Softer Friday Afternoon

01:49 PM EST, 02/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks declined Friday afternoon with the NYSE Health Care Index down 0.3% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) shedding 0.2%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.1%.

In corporate news, DocGo ( DCGO ) shares tumbled 27% after the company reported a Q4 net loss, surprising analysts who expected a profit.

Praxis Precision Medicines ( PRAX ) shares tumbled 39%. An independent data monitoring committee overseeing the company's study 1 of the Essential3 program of ulixacaltamide in essential tremor recommended that the study be "stopped for futility."

ANI Pharmaceuticals ( ANIP ) shares jumped 11% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted results and raised 2025 sales guidance.
