The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.5%.
In corporate news, Ensysce Biosciences ( ENSC ) shares jumped 17% after the company said it renewed a collaboration with Quotient Sciences to undertake a study to examine and evaluate the full commercial dose range of pain relief drug PF614-MPAR.
Lisata Therapeutics ( LSTA ) shares rose 2% after it said Monday it has obtained a full pediatric waiver from the European Medicines Agency for investigational drug certepetide in pancreatic cancer.
Hims & Hers Health ( HIMS ) shares surged 27% after the company announced it's offering GLP-1 injections starting at $199 a month, using compounded versions of the active ingredient in weight loss drugs sold by Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) and Eli Lilly ( LLY ) . Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) shares added 0.8%, and Eli Lilly ( LLY ) was up 1.7%.
NKGen Biotech ( NKGN ) soared 53% after it said Monday its safety review committee has cleared the company's expanded SNK01 cell therapy to progress into phase 2 clinical development in Alzheimer's disease.
