Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Steady Pre-Bell Thursday

09:12 AM EDT, 06/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were steady pre-bell Thursday with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) unchanged and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLV ) up 0.1% recently.

Theravance Biopharma ( TBPH ) shares were more than 4% higher after the company said Viatris has received regulatory approval in China for Yupelri, a once-daily nebulized treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Alvotech ( ALVO ) shares were up more than 3% after the company said its lenders have agreed to lower the interest rate of its senior secured term loan facility, reducing the company's interest payments by about $8.2 million in the first 12 months.

KalVista Pharmaceuticals ( KALV ) shares were advancing by more than 2% after the company said it has signed a licensing deal with Pendopharm to manage regulatory approval and commercialization of sebetralstat for hereditary angioedema in Canada.
