The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) increased 1.1%.

In corporate news, Eli Lilly's ( LLY ) weight-loss drugs secured coverage from the three largest US pharmacy benefit managers, the drugmaker said Thursday. Lilly shares gained 3.6%.
