Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) shares were down more than 7% after the company said its ziltivekimab drug candidate did not reduce major adverse cardiovascular events in people with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease and inflammation compared with placebo in a phase 3 trial.

AbbVie ( ABBV ) stock was down more than 3% after the company cut its guidance for 2026 adjusted earnings per share.

Moderna ( MRNA ) shares were up more than 3% after the company posted a narrower Q2 net loss as revenue increased during the period.
