03:35 PM EDT, 04/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were higher late Tuesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) rising 0.4% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 0.5%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index climbed 1.2%.

In corporate news, Intel ( INTC ) is set to launch two lower-power models of its Gaudi 3 AI accelerator for the Chinese market to meet US export rules to China, according to an April 12 white paper posted on the company's website. Intel ( INTC ) shares were up less than 0.1%.
