03:38 PM EDT, 07/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed late Monday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) easing 0.1% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 0.3%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index was up 0.2%.

In corporate news, CommScope ( COMM ) shares jumped more than 20% after the company said it expects Q2 net sales of $1.39 billion, down from $1.92 billion a year earlier, but above the $1.24 billion forecast of analysts polled by Capital IQ.
