The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index was marginally higher.

In corporate news, Microsoft ( MSFT ) provides an unfair advantage to its Edge web browser and the company should face strict EU rules, three rival browser firms and a group of web developers said in a letter to the European Commission, Reuters reported. Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares eased 0.4%.
