The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.3%.

In corporate news, Apple ( AAPL ) said Monday it launched a new iMac featuring the M4 chip and the Apple Intelligence software, promising performance boosts of up to 1.7x for daily tasks and 2.1x for photo editing and other workflows compared with the M1 model. Apple ( AAPL ) shares added 1.4%.
